Before you heard about the Metaverse and Web3, there was TWINS XR, a project put on by myself, Chris Iles, Matt Semke and the future forward team at REM5 STUDIOS.

After a 2020 season without fans, the Twins were looking for different ways to engage a younger demographic that would usually not attend games at Target Field . After launching a successful “Virtual Hall of Fame” experience in February of 2021, we were looking for another chance to build something that was way outside the perception of what a MLB franchise would produce. In September of that year we launched “The Art of Baseball”, an AR/VR experience that acted as an engaging museum for NFT Art. Best Buy liked it so much, they decided to sponsor it. MLB and Candy Digital took notice as well.


We wanted to sell our Twins’ NFTs to fans that visited the virtual experience. After running into MLB Legal, we settled on art for people to enjoy.
